Terms of Service

The rules for using FreePDFCompress. By accessing the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using FreePDFCompress (the "Service") at https://freepdfcompress.com/, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Mohit Girdhar (the "Operator", "we", "us"), an independent founder operating from Hisar, Haryana, India.

2. Description of the Service

FreePDFCompress is a free, browser-based PDF compression tool. The Service compresses PDF files locally in your browser using JavaScript (PDF.js, jsPDF). No file is uploaded to our servers, no account is required, and no watermark is added to the output.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if accessing from the European Union) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use FreePDFCompress only for lawful purposes. You may NOT use the Service to:

  • Compress PDFs containing illegal material (child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, etc.)
  • Process PDFs you do not have legal rights to
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass the Service's source code or security
  • Run automated scripts or bots that scrape or stress-test the site
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
  • Misrepresent the Service as your own (e.g., framing it on another domain without permission)

Violation of these terms may result in being blocked from the Service.

5. Your content

Because FreePDFCompress runs entirely in your browser, we do not collect, store, or have access to any PDF you compress. You retain full ownership and all rights to your files. We claim no rights of any kind to your content.

6. Intellectual property

The FreePDFCompress brand, logo, design, code, copy, and all other materials on freepdfcompress.com (excluding your uploaded content) are the property of Mohit Girdhar and protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without express written permission. Linking to FreePDFCompress is permitted and encouraged.

7. Third-party services

FreePDFCompress integrates with third-party services including:

  • Google AdSense for advertising — see Google's policies
  • Google Analytics for usage statistics
  • Cloudflare and our hosting provider for content delivery
  • PDF.js (Mozilla) and jsPDF open-source libraries for in-browser PDF processing

These services have their own terms and privacy policies which apply when you use them indirectly through FreePDFCompress.

⚠️ 8. Disclaimer of warranties

FreePDFCompress is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

(a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) the compression quality will meet your specific needs; (c) the output PDF will be accepted by every upload portal you submit it to. Always verify the compressed PDF before relying on it for important uploads.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Mohit Girdhar or FreePDFCompress be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, files, business opportunities, or reputation — arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed ₹1,000 INR (or the equivalent in your local currency).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mohit Girdhar, FreePDFCompress, and our affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party if we exercise this right.

12. Modifications to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive — including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hisar, Haryana, India.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FreePDFCompress regarding your use of the Service.
